I am new to TRIO.  I began my current position as Assistant Director of TRIO SSS/TSS in August 2021 here at Sam Houston State University.  Prior to that, I worked as a career counselor and Assistant Director in Career Services at the same university.  I am a licensed professional counselor and a licensed psychological associate in Texas and am also a certified national counselor (NCC).  I am passionate about working with first generation students in growing their academic skills and in helping them plan and achieve their career goals.  I was a first generation student myself when I was an undergraduate at Texas A&M University.
